I ♥ Software Piracy!

Knowledge should be free.. I’m all for giving credit for the source, but to pay for knowledge, fuck that.. Universities should be free, IT technology, cyberaccess, books and magazines should be for FREE! And if this isn’t the case then we’ll go about extralegal means to get the knowledge, including “stealing” the knowledge…

Keep cracking the softwares ya shabab.. Keep photocopying the (ultra-fucking-expensive) books sold on the market… and keep spreading the open source programs…

And fuck the capitalists…

   Shame on you, H. A good commie from the South like yourself should be helping the community AND hurting the capitalist software houses. We need to convert you to Linux and the Free Software as soon as we can–Open Source is just what capitalists call the licensing model of Free Software, trying to forget its deep social implications. It is Free Software as in Free Speech, not as in Free Beer.

   For now, you are using WordPress for this blog. Use Firefox for your browser, Open Office for making documents, and GIMP for image manipulation. You do not need to crack software, unless there is no free alternative.

   First, I gotta say there should be a big THANK YOU to you ya Amr and to your bro Ahmad who are playing a great role in spreading the Linux and other free software (which some call opensource) in the egyptian blogosphere…
   But One challenge we need to overcome is the fact that many of the free software is not as “developed” as the commercial ones.. There had been great achievements over the past period.. but I still find Photoshop for example to be more advanced that GIMP.
   Activist IT wizards like yourself, Alaa, Malek, Ahmad and co I’m sure can play a role in Arabizing this shit, as well as making it more userfriendly.. But in the meantime, I still see fellow radicals should also continue cracking the softwares and fucking the software giants for their greediness..

   Yes, I keep hearing that from designers, and I hope GIMP catches up. There are other areas, CAD for example, where you need commercial software to get anything done. I won’t, but you can still use cracked Photoshop in Linux And the new Linux distributions work better than VIsta.

   But if you can avoid that, such as the case when blogs, office suites, and internet browsers are equal, if not better than commercial software. Using them hurts twice, by not spending money on software, and by supporting a community using a Free alternative.

   That’s exactly the difference between taking over the state, and undermining the state. Alas, reds just do not see it.

   Do you always have to piss on the “reds” whenever you can?! Don’t worry ya habibi, we understand the difference between undermining and overthrowing the state.. unlike some of your “black” friends who are living in their “communal” bubbles here in California ya basha…
   But back to our original point:
   Free software browsers like firefox, for example, and blogging tools, in my view are much better than the commercial ones.. however when it comes to graphic design, photo-editing as well some anti-virus tools I still find the commercial ones to be more userfriendly and more advanced.. we need to develop our free softwares to overcome that, but we gotta make sure they are as userfriendly.

   انا بستخدم نظام تشغيل لينكس لأنه الافضل فعلا مش بس عشان مصدر مفتوح
   بس انا بعشق سرقة البرامج بحس بمتعة

   I’m a graphic designer & ma life is much more better now with linux & ma cracked design programs working on it
