VIDEOS – Forced eviction in Doweiqa ‫إخلاء سكان الدويقة قسرا

In January families (many of whom were living in one room) moved into empty flats in the Suzanne Mubarak housing project in Duweiqa, they say when they saw that the empty flats were being pilfered (for doors and blinds etc) by thieves. They lived there for five months until the army and the interior ministry made them leave, forcibly. They were not provided with alternative housing and are currently living in the street. This video was given to Sarah Carr by Mohab Mohamed, one of the people forcibly evicted.
