
Hundreds marched on Thursday night from the High Court, in Ramses, through downtown Cairo streets, ending in Maspero, where the State TV is located, denouncing the sectarian massacre perpetrated by the Egyptian army against (mostly) Coptic protesters on 9 October, 2011. Protesters called for holding the SCAF accountable as well as the State TV officials who helped incite sectarian violence against the Copts.

I heard very strong chants during the march, calling for the execution of Field Marshal Tantawi, as well as the SCAF generals.

It’s an amazing scene, thousands of Copts chanting against Field Marshal Tantawi and the army. Bravery, resilience… I know many Muslims who attended the funerals today. Despite the sectarian incitement, we must remain united as Muslims and Copts against Mubarak’s army generals, who are in effect the leadership of the Counterrevolution…
